Md Riyad Rashid (28) from Kishoreganj was killed in a drone strike on May 2 while fighting for the Russian army near the Ukraine border. His family confirmed the death through a comrade, Limon Dutta, who was injured in the same attack. Having moved to Russia in 2024, Riyad joined the military on April 7. His body remains unrecovered.
